Nuclear Medicine imaging is an invaluable aid for physicians because it provides information that cannot be obtained with other imaging technologies.  It is a noninvasive, painless method that can be helpful in diagnosis of diseases accurately and in shorter time. Nuclear medicine scans help to identify disease at an early stage or before the disease can be detected using other diagnostics, so it can be treated before it becomes complicated. Many times it identifies the exact location and spread of the disease in the body.
